CONOR LEHANE is a bright, young designer from West London with an unquenchable thirst for success. He graduated from Middlesex University with a 2:1 in Graphic Design, which gave him the tools to start his career as a designer. Since starting his degree, he has gained a wide range of experience, in many different areas of design and advertising. In 2008 he managed to get a highly sort after placement with global brand Tribal DDB. Here he worked closely with their design team to pitch concepts for the 2009 relaunch of the Volkswagon UK website. In this same year, he was a runner-up in the D&AD Student Awards for his first animation. Conor is always throwing himself out of his comfort zone, to have a go at every design discipline. Then, in 2009 he had a booklet design shortlisted and displayed at the D&AD New Blood exhibition at Earl’s Court 2. Soon after, he interned at The Sunday Times Magazine, where he had several double-page spreads published in their Culture International Magazine. This gave him first class experience of how a high-end magazine operates. Since leaving Middlesex, Conor has gathered 3 months experience with AMC Design House (www.amcdesignhouse.com) where he was trusted with all design for print, with regard to a revolutionary new shelving system. Whilst at AMC, he met George Singer, a British born product designer who was made well-known for his bespoke chandeliers. Singer put him in contact with JAM Design & Communication in Hoxton, where he’s now interning.
Conor is always excited by the opportunity for freelance work.
